Add 1 in to the diameter when WindBands are on the tower. Where sizes overlap, pick the smaller truck. Under 24 or over 73 in is custom.

Halyard length

Tower height x 2 + flag height + 20 ft

Round up to the next 10 ft. Example: a 120 ft tower flying a 12 x 18 flag needs 120 x 2 + 12 + 20 = 272 ft, so order 280 ft. Every halyard is cut to length.

FAQ

Installer questions

Ordering and getting started questions are on the Getting Started page.

WindBands

How long does a WindBand take to install?

Under 5 minutes each the first time, and about 1 minute to remove and reinstall after a service visit.

Do I have to circle the tower to install a WindBand?

No. The Lasso Loop lets you set each band from one spot, so the bucket doesn't have to travel around the tower.

How many WindBands go on each shroud?

2 per shroud under 8 ft, 3 for 8 to 12 ft, 4 for over 12 to 16 ft.

Do WindBands get replaced after each service visit?

No. They come off and go back on, with no re-taping and nothing to throw away.

SwingArm Trucks

Which SwingArm Truck fits my tower?

UNC spindles: Standard 24 to 42 in, Medium 39 to 58 in, Long 54 to 73 in. NPT spindles use the Standard truck only. Add 1 in to the diameter if the tower has WindBands, and where sizes overlap, pick the smaller one.

How do I tell UNC from NPT?

Check the existing truck or the site drawings. Most towers are UNC. If you can't confirm it, choose "Not sure" in the Site Kit Builder and we confirm with you before invoicing or shipping.

Which Adapter Plate do I need?

110445 fits the Standard UNC truck (110344). 110590 fits the Medium (110399) and Long (110419) trucks. NPT towers are uncommon, so we no longer stock a plate for them. Call us for options.

Do I have to remove the existing boss?

No. The Adapter Plate installs over the existing boss.

Flags and halyards

How much halyard do I need?

Tower height x 2 + flag height + 20 ft, rounded up to the next 10 ft. We cut every halyard to length.

What's in the Flag Hardware Kit and Cleat Kit?

Everything to rig the flag on the halyard and secure the halyard at the tower base, tooling included.
