Installation
Back on in about a minute
After every service visit, each WindBand goes back on in four steps, from one spot in the bucket. The first install adds a one-time setup (stick on the hooks, cut the strap to length) and still takes under 5 minutes a band.
1Pass the Lasso Loop
Loop it around the tower, inside any flag halyard. No circling the tower in the bucket.
2Pull it around
Clip on the WindBand, pull it around the tower and drop the strap into the hooks.
3Route and tighten
Run the strap through the D-Ring and Main Buckle and pull tight.
4Lock it and hang the Lasso
Secure the end in the Cam Buckle and Strap Keepers, then hang the Lasso Loop back on its hook.

Anyone on the tower can put it back
Not everyone who opens a shroud knows how to re-secure it, and hurricane tape that gets cut away often isn't replaced. WindBands leave the instructions and the tool on site, so whoever opens a shroud can close it up right.

The hurricane tape solution is pallet strapping, a buckle, tape wrapped by circling the tower in the bucket, and spray adhesive. It's redone on every service visit and repaired whenever it fails.

Do WindBands block the signal?
No. Every component is RF transparent.

Why not use the hurricane tape solution?
Strapping, a buckle, tape and spray adhesive have to be redone every visit, the bucket has to circle the tower, and the buckle fails at about 135 lbs. WindBands are reusable and cost about $4,088 per tower over 5 years vs. $16,500 for tape, mostly in saved crane time.
